U.S. Businesses Continue to Face Theft, Unfair Tactics in China, U.S.-China Panel Told

U.S. businesses continue to face theft of their intellectual property and Chinese government subsidies to state-owned enterprises, as well as unfair business practices in operating in China, three U.S. businessmen told the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission June 14.
Despite the three businesses’ extremely negative experiences with the Chinese market in terms of stolen IP and unfair competition through closed Chinese markets and subsidies to Chinese state champions, the three companies continue to interact with China—a decision that some of the members of the commission questioned. …
